Rehearsal dinner in Tuscany without the seating plan

The night before is not the night for place cards and a four-course menu.

American couples call it the rehearsal dinner, British and Australian couples usually say welcome dinner. It is the same evening: the first time everybody is in one place, half of them straight off a plane, none of them on the schedule you wrote.

Why a set menu struggles that night

  • Flights land across a six-hour window and nobody arrives together
  • A seating plan on night one puts people next to strangers
  • Children are tired and cannot wait for a third course
  • Half the group is still trying to work out who everyone is

Pizza solves the timing problem by removing it. Service runs three hours, pizza is unlimited throughout, and people eat when they arrive rather than when the kitchen is ready.

How the evening runs

  • We arrive early, park the truck and bring the gas oven up to temperature
  • Service starts at the hour you choose and lasts 3 hours
  • Four types of pizza, agreed in advance, coming out continuously
  • Guests eat standing, sitting or in shifts
  • We clear our own equipment and leave

What it costs

Up to 30 guests: €2,250 pizza only, €2,750 with the beverage service — still water, beer, Coca-Cola, spritz and prosecco — €3,250 with beverages and antipasti. VAT and transport across Tuscany are included. Larger bands up to 100 guests are on the prices page.

What you organise

Tables and chairs, if you want them, and a flat parking spot for the truck with a drivable route. Everything else is ours.

The morning after

Three hours, our own set-up, our own clear-up. The venue looks the same the next morning, which matters when the wedding itself is happening in it.
